Just grow with it!
Just grow with it!
Hey there, beautiful!
I'm Rosa Hoffmann, aka between2mirrors, a skincare enthusiast, curly hair makeup lover, and bio-hacking curious mom of five! I'm so glad you're here. I want to start by saying that I believe self-care is the core to finding yourself .
My journey hasn't always been easy. I've faced my share of challenges, including thyroid cancer and ongoing anxiety (to name just a few).
But through it all, I've learned the importance of self-care, radical acceptance, and living life on my own terms.
Today, I'm passionate about sharing my experiences with you. My favorite products, treatments, my journey into self love and care.
I believe that taking care of ourselves is essential to living a happy, healthy life.
I'm not a guru, but I'm a real person who's been through a lot in life. I hope my page inspires you to take control of your own well-being and embrace your unique beauty, inside and out.
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
My skincare journey began in my mid-20s, but it wasn't until I reached my 30s that I truly started to take it seriously. Having gone through cancer in my early 20's I didn't consider how much damage my medication and treatments would cause in the long run. Living without a thyroid gland can have significant effects on our skin and hair. Hypothyroidism can cause dry, rough skin, hair loss, brittle nails, and other beauty-related challenges.
Initially, I relied on quick fixes like Botox, but soon realized that I wanted to try a more natural long lasting approach to achieving healthy, glowing skin, . This led me down the path of bio-hacking, where I dove deep into the world of ingredients, product formulations, and decided to go more toward cutting-edge technologies like lasers and gua sha. Through this journey, I've discovered a passion for optimizing my skin health and unlocking my natural beauty.
Today, I'm excited to share my knowledge and experiences with you, in the hopes of inspiring others to take control of their own skincare journeys.
"I believe the core to finding yourself is self-care." I'd describe myself as a pretty fun and outgoing person (most of the time, haha). I used to let a lot slide, allowing people to cross too many boundaries, and often not standing up for myself enough. But as I got older, like we all do, I became wiser. I became more aware of the people in my inner circle, the things that fundamentally bothered me, and the things I simply couldn't stand for. Yet, I never really changed my environment.
When I started my social media page, I didn't think much of it. I thought it would be something fun to create—maybe get some free products, yay—and just enjoy the process. Initially, I only posted products because I was too insecure to show myself in my videos—can you believe that? The critic in my head (often echoing the voices of those closest to me) would judge me, laugh at me, or somehow downplay what I was trying to do. But one magical day, I decided to say "f* it all" and post myself.
As I became more comfortable showing the real me, people started to relate to me more. I built this beautiful tribe of people who were genuinely happy for me, wanted to see me succeed, and went out of their way to like and comment on my posts. It was wild how strangers I'd never met were more supportive than the people I had hoped—and in some ways, expected—would be supportive.
This marked the beginning of my self-care journey. By taking care of my skin and hair and sharing this with my tribe, I began to truly take care of myself as a person. I was able to reflect on the people I wanted in my life, the places I wanted to go, and the person I wanted to be remembered as. I didn't want to constantly judge myself based on what I thought others would think. I also didn't want to remain in unhealthy, one-sided friendships. So, I didn't.
I've made so many changes in my life since I started this journey, and I know many more are coming. Wild, crazy, beautiful things await. Find yourself in those silent moments, through community, and be the person you know you would be proud of.
